Graphic Novels In The School System

    I think it depends on the school district. I know where my kids go to school (elementary and middle school) they have a variety of graphic novels available in the library and are totally acceptable for reading time in class. There are also LOTS of "non-educational" materials available in their libraries. It's about broadening horizons and getting kids to read. Not every kid wants to read Hunger Games or Harry Potter. If they're reading, it's a win.
