It came up in a mod-pow-wow the other day. Minstrel mentioned and I seconded. They weren't accruing anymore and enough time seems to have gone by that investment in having them has waned. Last vestiges of the old and all that. The time seemed right to zap'um.
Frankly, I never saw the value in them. I think having the "likes" listed is sufficient. @jannert - you mean you've been restrained up until now?
Yeah, I noticed that today too when looking at my own member card. That listing must be in a different location within the forum platform.
I'm glad they're gone. By the time I understood the rep points, I realized how many missed opportunities I had to thank people that way for taking the time to critique my pieces. The like button & pm's are so much easier.
Presently they're still available on your user profile/username popup, but I may phase that out as well. I'll still consider re-adding a rep system once we can hire a custom coder for a proper one.
