I entered this creative space to expand my writing horizons. I am currently writing journal entries, but am looking for inspirations and ideas. Not your typical "how was my day today" entries. I also use my journal as a notebook, for when I find useless information or new words/phrases to use in my everyday life.

it sounds like your journal is a commonplace book. I love commonplace books! i have a notebook for that purpose and I almost never write anything in it. I think it's because I have this idea that everything that goes in a commonplace book should be curated, important content. Wow, i've gotta learn to relax!
I fill mine with all kinds of things. It's a little Moleskine pocket notebook and I have a pen quiver attached so the pen is always handy.
Your first clue here is the thing is called a commonbook, not an extraordinarily important stuff book. Buy a notebook with a picture of puppies or a rainbow unicorn on the cover. That'll save you from thinking you can only write deep and meaningful thoughts in it.
