Hello, how's it going? New here and excited to get involved in the community. :] Just the basics about me... I'm currently working part time and going to school for nursing. In my free time I enjoy creative writing, mainly fiction and poetry, and have been struggling to keep a decent journal since I was a kid (haha). My greatest accomplishments in writing have to be that I once finished a rough draft of a psychological horror novel at the age of thirteen, and that I recently won my college's annual poetry contest. I believe my biggest struggle with writing is form in fiction, but also feel I've made many improvements in this department over the years. Well, now that you know the basics about me, I won't seem so strange if we come across each other's posts in the community. Thanks for reading! Also, I have a quick question, if someone wouldn't mind helping a newbie out. I was just yesterday trying to post a new thread in the poetry section, but was denied the privilege for some reason. My account has already been activated and I'm wondering if there's a minimum post count for posting in certain sections of the forum. I also checked the FAQs, but there was nothing there about the issue I could find. Thanks, if you know what might be going on.
Welcome, Ralphy. Well, I believe you need to critique two posts at least to get the privilege to post yours.
Thanks for the welcome, everyone. And thanks, Flowerfairy, for the answer. How exactly is a response noted as a critique response? I've replied once already, on a poem, and offered a bit of advice on it. So would that be considered one?
