    Happy Halloween

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by wordwizard, Oct 31, 2007.

Today is Halloween. My town is even foggy giving it a scarey effect. My daughter is dressing up like Batgirl lol. Anybody in the forum dressing up this year?(that is if you celebrate the occasion)

Just wanted to wish you all a Happy spooky Halloween
    cheers

Unfortunately they don't celebrate Halloween here, and I work in the morning so I can't go to any expat Halloween parties.
But happy Halloween to everyone who can celebrate it in style.

Luckily I'll be hidden in my third floor flat away from all the trickers (for there are no treaters). The BBC had a large article this morning about Anti-Social behaviour and Halloween and Bonfire Night being the police's busiest period. Good to see there has been a strong campaign against the sale of flour and eggs to those under 16 this year. Can be a bit messy come the next day.

Though be sure to enter into the spirit by entering the short story contest this week on this very topic Short Story Contest (12) - Theme: Halloween - Writing Forums

We don't celebrate Halloween here. But since I live in a protestant region we had another public holiday today: Reformation Day.

I brought in a mask that is white and skull-like but shaped more or less like the Green Goblin's face, and wore it in our weekly meeting first thing in the morning.

The important question is, did the trick and treaters survive?

I wish Australia was into Halloween

Yay Halloween was great. The weather stayed nice-cold but nice. My daughter hauled way to much candy, and she had a lovely time with all her preschool friends. So tired today. I better find some caffiene :D

I've always loved Halloween. Had a party for my daughter and some of her friends yesterday, the kids loved it.

I dressed as a vampire; however, when asked what a vampire eats, one of the children responded, "cupcakes?"
