That was sweet! I hope you have a good one too! I always find the time differences strange - like a message from the future. Valentine's day is an hour away, however will not be doing much, end up spending the day waiting for packages to be delivered - i'm sort of setting up my own business, it might be funny for the neighbours to see me get so many parcels on Valentine's day they might think i have lots of admirers.
..or tacky toy day. What's with the bears holding hearts with 'i wuv you' written on them, who buys them?
The one day of the year I never understood. I love my wife everyday and one day is ment to represent our token love. Nah. Mish mash. Flowers and chocolate once a week. We don't need one bloody day to say Oh I love you. Sorry but the whole thing is daft and bloody tacky if you ask me.
Yeah I know Raven. (I don't celebrate it either myself) It is pointless to be honest, love is to be celebrated all year round. But there are those who celebrate the day so I was trying to be in the spirit....(the whole soppy love thing really don't suit me lol)
hehe just be glad I didn't post the little v-day message that I've sent everyone that sent me a v-day message today lol it fits nicely with the v-day poem I wrote though....don't you think Raven? LOL (it was the true gothic side of me coming out for a change!)
Everyone forgets Darwin Day, which is just a fortnight before Valentines Day. So, to help bring these two holidays together in harmony...
hahaha well it was good to see some members get into the spirit. It's all in fun. So ner ner Raven! hahaha I hate v-day and don't celebrate it. I got made to yesterday. It was sweet....I have soppy love stuff! But it was sweet.........<shudders>
Don and I don't do anything special. But this year I was not feeling well when Don left for work and got progressively worse. He got home and went out to fill my prescription and pick up cat food and kitty litter. While out he bought me a really soft squishy teddy bear holding a small teddy bear. He know I love bears. Happy valentines day. Cog I like your post.
awwwwww lessa that is beautiful. Really beautiful. Don is an angel!!! Isn't it nice when they do something small yet sweet like that. My gift cost nothing, but it was perfect. And Cogito I was expecting a little more but I did like the post. <giggle>
I sent flowers to my love yesterday instead of today, so it would be more of a surprise. I'm actually a sucker for this day. One year I celebrated Valentine's Week with a special someone (since deceased), with a gift for each day.
I finally for the first time in history celebrated Valentines day yesterday. Visited my girlfriend (the reason I've been unheard for over a week) as she left work, and she was quite upset that I didn't have any flowers for her. Then I pulled the three roses I'd bought earlier out of a bag. She was more impressed with the bracelet I bought her. And Cogito, that was terrible. Congratulations.
