I buy the real life magazines (besides celeb mags). I am in Australia and I get "That's Life" & "Take Five" also we are importing British real life magazines such as "Chat", "Pick Me Up", "Real People" and "Take a Break". So in the magazines there is a page with "Tell us your story" and it's basically the same thing. It has about thirty lines with the captions "It began like this", "This event happened" and "It ended like this". I cut these out, keep them in plastic folder sheet and when I have a plot idea. I take one out, write it down (since the basic break up for begining middle and end is already written) and file it away in my file brief case. It really helps.
