Name: Teresa Averill Gender: Female Occupation: Mathematical & Particle Physics Engineer Appearance: Teresa is a tall, slender woman, sporting long blonde hair and metallic blue eyes. She is usually found in a standard engineering uniform. Personality: Teresa is very analytical, and bases most of her decisions off of hard calculations. She is naturally a brilliant scientist, and an adept engineer. Her demeanour towards others is usually cold and distant, but she is quick to be kind towards friends. Age: 23 Equipment: Unlike most solitary travellers, Teresa does not carry a personal AI or a ship AI, preferring to do everything on her own accord. In addition to her ship maintenance tools, Teresa also has shard-based mechanical implants imbedded in her arms, based loosely around a tachyon field, which allows her to use the generated kinetic energy to move objects from a short distance. This was intended for engineering use, but can be used as a weapon as well. This should be fun.

Personality: Rael takes a while to trust people but will never abanden someone he cares for (or needs). Appearance: Stands at 6ft 2. His body is muscular with short black hair. His eyes are a baby blue. Age: 26 History & Equipment: Rael carries an energising drill that converts the matter it drills into energy. He uses a special glove to release the energy for offensive attacks. Name: Terrance Bigalow Gender: Male Occupation: Shard Trader. He buys shards from shard-seekers and sells them at shipyards around the galaxy. For the past 2 years he had teamed up with David Hawkins. Together they built a profitable business and both became quite wealthy. Personality: Terrance is greedy and never seems to get enough money. His only joy is the next pay day. Age: 34 Equipment: Terrance has a large belt worn around his waist. On the belt is two holsters. One holds a large shard gun which sends off couple powerful blasts or a bun of mini blasts depending on the setting. The other holster hold a Shard Scanner, which determines the field type of a shard and how much it is worth.
So...since i just posted, I'm going to wait until someone notices the predicament that Terrance is in, to respond to the situation. Also i'm assuming these creatures can be killed with a couple shots to the chest...right? They aren't the same as the shard creatures (whose name escapes me.)
According to losthawken's Heart of Star handbook: "Decapods have substantial defenses in the form of thick stone-encrusted exoskeletons and defensive shard fields that render long range energy blasts useless. The main technique for harvesting decapods involves very close range attacks from within their shields and piercing their bodies either from beneath or from above between their protective scales." So short ranged blasts/melee attacks in certain weak points will do it. A couple of shots to the chest might not be enough.
Allright I got my post up. Heres my original bio. Name: Jax Roberts Gender: Male Age: 21 Occupation: Pirate, thief and shard seeker Appearance: He is about 5’7 with a muscled build. Jax right arm has been replaced by a robotic prostethis that extends from his shoulder. He has sharp features only added to by a crooked nose. His eyes are somewhat startling due to the fact that one is brown and the other is blue and his long and shaggy hair is dark brown. Personality: Confident (some might say cocky), sardonic/sarcastic, definitely selfish, a bit narcissistic, and can be cruel or dangerous. Weapon: His robotic arm has a tachyon whip; essentially a metal whip that can be quickly extended from his arm and that can generate an energy field around it. It is a deadly weapon that can slash or latch onto things. Also his robotic arm is extremely strong, and can be used in close quarter combat (In other words he likes punching people with it).
Great work guys, keep it up. Also, for the decapods blasters will only deliver a fatal shot at point blank range due to the sheilds, but this is standard procedure for seekers. I'm sure you'll take them down easily, but this is only the beginning ;-) On closer inspection you will find the decapods rather large for their developmental stage...
Apparently my new favorite word is sorry...I seem to be saying it alot. I've been gone for the last week and didnt have much time to read anything thats been going on, much less post. But I'm back now and I'll get a post up tomorrow night! Promise! Appearance: Andrea is small, standing only about 5’4” with shoulder length blonde hair that is often pulled back in a sloppy bun to keep it out of her face when she is working. Her eyes are light green and she has a very fair skin tone and soft features. Age: 23 Equipment: Andrea doesn’t use much shard technology, but she does have an AI named Melanie and she always carries with her a plain, brown shoulder bag which carries her medical equipment, a notebook, some pictures, money, and a water bottle.

He has had no trouble getting any girl he wishes though he doesn't jump from girl to girl like most men. At the moment his is wearing a long sleeved blue shirt and beige cargo pants. I'm not sure. I've been refraining from posting until either Forgotten or Clay got their posts up, but I haven't seen them around lately. Mr Mr might also be up for a post soon as well.
Don't wait too long, posting doesn't need to be evenly distributed. I say, as long as you are not double posting go ahead. We need to keep our momentum up, and its understood that if you are not around you the game still goes on.
Might post in a bit. How tall are decapods compared to humans? and would Rael's drill be effective against them?
In general Decapods vary by age, these are about the size of a VW Beetle and somewhat resemble an ispod
Don't worry Clay there will be much more action. For now everyone make some quick introductions so I can move you on to the next fight.
Anyone! It would be a good time for the players who haven't posted during the Decapod attack to catch up, but if not Cheddar, or Question should feel free. I'll get up a post from Artemus at some point today, but it will be more plot exposition than moving your scene ahead. GOALS: Meet up with new characters so I can throw some more action at you all!
