Ok the next post is up. Question: You didn't specify if Jax got a shot off or not so I'm leaving that open for you to fill in still. But he will notice the change in the sails AFTER he does/doesn't make the shot. The ship is going to be dragged off Artemus's course and put our characters back on track to rescuing Hawkins. Objectives: Do what comes naturally And BTW do you guys think I should advertise for new players or leave it as is for now?
I'm glad this is going again. As for the adding more people that depends on how many are still playing.
Oh man, I remember the old version of this game! I loved this world. Any room for one more? Edit: and while I'm asking, would I be able to bring Chalice in or would you prefer a new character?

We'd love to have you back Dustin! I can't find Chalice's profile in the old game, but I'm sure she will be fine. Send me the profile and we'll get you started. Would you like to be written in as though you've tagged along behind the scenes the whole time, or would you like to be looking for Hawkins independently and meet up at the planet? Yeah, its a shame about Clay, he's a good writer and had a lot of ideas. I think we should stick his character in stasis and move on. If he ever comes back we can just wake his character back up.
I dunno. I did give her a ship when I first created her, but I deliberately wrote it as a hunk of junk. I don't know if it could survive a journey into deep space, let alone a full-fledged rescue operation. A second person on board for more than a day would probably break the life support systems. It'd probably be best if she was present but unmentioned. She's basically an engineer and she's always looking for work, so she could have been hired by Artemus as a crew member and thus has been in the engine room this whole time.
I like that idea a lot. Artemus is fairly absent minded and could have easily forgotten that he's just hired her and that she was on board. But we need a good excuse as to why she missed the action, especially while Rael was in the engineering room swapping out the shards.
Okay then: She was using lavatory when stuff started to go down. When someone (I forget who it was) drilled through the floor, they cut a wire crucial to the release mechanism in the restroom's door latch. As a result, Chalice spent the entirety of the battle locked in the bathroom, unable to escape. She is currently trying to hotwire the locking system from within so she can get out.
I love it. For my purposes I would like to have had Chalice on board since the previous docking, before the outpost that was raided. If you are cool with that I'll send you a pm with a pinch of back story on the recent activities of the Albatross.
Great post, and I agree about getting to the planet. But I can't warp us there until Jax is back inside the ship. I also hope to have Dustin's character introduced and a post from FM, Mr, or yellow before warping us directly to the planet.
i just got a post up Quick question though, should Andrea's scan of Gerty come up normal or should there be something weird with it? Either way I can make work but I don't want to assume anything
Great post Yellow Nothing about the Specter talking to her would show up, but she is a drug user so some hints about that might show up. Maybe Earphone can give some insight here I know he's around... I didn't like having to control his character, but I really needed to get the specters message across.
Sorry, I'm not really sure what happened in the generator room - the creature absorbed the shard, and then just flew out of there? And now it's taking us off-course ?
Oh man, I must have done a crappy job with that last post. The creature interacted with the shard and then left, but didn't take the shard. Your characters wouldn't know this, but it actually just 'talked' to the shard in the generator. The shard is still in the generator, but it is now overpowering the ships controls, accelerating the ship even more, and taking it off course. Hopefully my next post after you and Dustin post will make more sense...

Read my last post, I think it sums it up really. That creature turned the crystal blue, which somehow changed our course and we're now heading for the outer rim. Jax is still outside, Gerty and Andrea are in the infirmary with Artemus (although I think he is going to go back to the cockpit soon), and the new character, Chalice, is stuck in the toilet.
