Hello, everyone! I'm John, but you may call me Aodrek if you'd like (I'm sure plenty will, given that it's my username). I'm 27, living in Maryland, and I enjoy writing poetry and short stories. I'm interested in participating in the Interactive Fiction Competition this year which I've been wanting to do for some time. Interactive fiction, for those of you who don't know, is essentially "Text Adventure games." Here's a link to their website: http://www.ifcomp.org/about/comp I'm also working on a sci-fi novel involving a god-like cyborg named Priscilla who attempts to re-create humanity on various planets because the original humans are nowhere to be found. The tentative title for that is Priscilla Programs People and Other Puzzles. I might post a thing or two about that in the writing forums at some point. I'm hoping to learn a lot from being a part of this forum.
Aodrek, welcome to the forum. Crikey, but you look familiar. Glad you found us when you did. Little technical difficulty earlier today. Here's the New Member Quick Start to get you sorted and started well. Anyway, glad you decided to check out the community and have a hand at participating. Wrey
Hey! I'm a god-like cyborg, and I don't know any Priscilla! You, sir, are LYING! (Actually, I'm a squirrel. But I can dream, can't I?) Welcome to the forum, anyway. Apologies for my sense of humor.
