Well i guess i forgot to do this when i started. First thing's first: my name is Skyler Meeks. I write. Typically i dont use good grammar or punctuation in my causal writing because sometimes it just takes too much time. other than that i'm pretty strict about all that deal. i write stories about what i feel and typically try to stick to what i know. feel free to ask me any more questions and i'll let you know the answers. oh, and i really love good feedback. although i may not agree with all of it i'm definitely willing to take it into consideration. with that said, rip up what ever story of mine you want.
Hello smeeks, Welcome to the Writing Forums. You probably won't agree with every review comment. Reviews are opinions, and all based on personal experience and preferences. But try to keep an open mind and explore all suggestions dispassionately. You may find that an idea you resisted at the start works better after all - or may help with another piece you are writing. If you haven't fully explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners. Remember to check out our FAQ as well! As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room forums on this site, therefore, are true workshops, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work (and on that note, please only post each item for review in one Review Room forum). See this post, Why Write Reviews Before Posting My Work? for more information. Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!
