Hi there. Hitting 30 a *cough* few months ago *cough* made me realise that I had stopped doing what I loved, and that was writing. I had a little bit of success with joke writing a few years ago, but life got in the way and I fell away from it. For me, it's mainly comedy, but as a huge Stephen King nut I have been known to throw out a horror story or two. What I'm looking for here I suppose is just that writing community to encourage me to keep going and also to hopefully to be able to offer something to the other writers on here. If you have any questions, ask away and I'll be happy to answer. Looking forward to getting to know you all, Kiel
Welcome K_Phil! Never give up the thing you love (unless it seriously hurts others of course). When I was approaching 30 I learnt guitar, so I can understand that milestone kicking you into doing what you think is important. Stephen King is a great writer (although his movies are hit and miss), I love Misery and IT.
Thanks for the welcome. I think the less said about movie adaptions of Stephen King books, the better
