Hello, my name is Lloyd and I'm writing from Southern New Hampshire. I just joined this forum to interact with other authors. I'm psuedo-published, meaning I have a novel out in e-book form, and am waiting on a publishing date for the trade paperback version. My main genre is Mystery however I have written in other genres. I'm focusing on mystery currently and working on the third novel in my "Ronan Marino" series. The first book is entitled "Two Redheads & A Dead Blonde." I have a second completed which I hope to submit to my publisher later this year. I'm also about a fourth of the way through the first draft of what I like to call my "Great American Novel." So, anyway...here I am.
Hey, Lloyd, I'm another New Englander, and I hope you enjoy it here *grins* Your books look interesting... hmm...
great coinage!... perfect term for all paid-publishing alternatives... welcome to the forums... glad to see you're also on the way to getting your work out in the 'real' publishing world... good luck with sales... who's your pb publisher? love and hugs, maia
Of course it would help if I learned to spell my new "coinage" correctly. Thank God for spellcheck or my editor would murder me. My publisher is Chippewa Publishing who are pretty small. I believe this will be their first foray into mystery in print. I'll be doing most of my own publicity this time around. Not fun. I'd rather spend the time writing but it's all part of getting my work out there. I'm hoping to get picked up at some future time by a bigger publisher who can do the promotional planning for me.
Welcome to WF I hope you enjoy your time here with all of us. Also congratulations with you book, it is a great accomplishment. Torana
Wow, congrats on the publication. And Welcome, my names Megan and I am genuinely looking forward to reading your stuff now. I'm quite a fan of mystery.
You know I guess I should feel that way but I've never been too excited about the e-book. Once I have the trade in my hands, then I might get excited. The real excitement would come when I start to see good sales and someone takes notice.
