So I've been looking for a forum like this for a while, so instead of just anonymously creeping on this forum I figured I'd introduce myself. I would like to say I've been immersed in writing for almost 10 years now. I currently am in the journalism field, but on my spare time I've messed around with screenwriting here and there. A lot of jumbled thoughts and ideas, but I've never actually gathered the motivation to put all of that towards creating a finished product. So my hope is that this forum will help with that. Would be great to find people who are interested in offering feedback and I could return the favor. With that said, looking forward to browsing and contributing here!
Welcome, Jim Luther Davis! I'm not into screenwriting myself but I know there are quite a few people here who are. You might want to check out the Script and Screenplay Workshop if you want to see how other people go about it. Though I suggest you read the New Member Guide first just to get hang rules and such (if you haven't already). Now go and have some fun! Cheers!
The most important thing you can do as a writer is finish the damn thing. Doesn't matter if it sucks. Take the time right now and finish something. Cheers!
Welcome! Hope you enjoy your stay! I recently switched from another writing forum to this one. I believe that it was a good choice.
Thanks guys! Appreciate the warm welcome. Looking forward to meeting the requirements so I can post my stuff for critique. After giving critiques to others, of course!
Anyone want to share their most favorite creativie writing piece? I like all, such as short stories, bios, etc. My favorite is poetry.
Poetry is great. More importantly no matter what I write, it should come from the heart. Deep and real and true!
