Hi there! Just signed up, and want to say hi to all I'm old but I don't feel it. I wish I had started 20 years ago being serious about writing but I never was - there would always be time later. Something happened (nothing very serious ) a few years ago to inspire me to go forth and be committed to writing and here I am, attempting to hold words close to my brain and my keyboard. I love language, love finding the right way to describe something, and I love the fact that stories exist and mean so much to people - it's really quite fantastic the whole thing, isn't it? I am currently working on the first draft of a mystery, hoping to some day be published but on my hopeful journey there, I am learning so much every time I sit down to type. Being in a community of writing people is always inspiring and I am looking forward to interesting threads and discussions here, and to making friends
I think this describes many of us. Life and the need to put food on the table tends to happen. We shall get along famously! I am of like mind. Welcome to the forum, Writay. welcome aboard! i doubt you're old at all, compared to me [unless you're over 75], and i'm not even the oldest member here... i didn't become a serious writer till my early 40's, so know from experience that it doesn't matter when you start, only that you do... love and hugs, maia
