    Hello!

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Beepbookgirl, Nov 23, 2021.

Hi, I'm Beepbookgirl, and I write mostly FanFiction, though I have a long-time project of an original book. I'm here for writing advice and to take part in some contests. I really enjoy writing horror and fantasy most. I'm so happy to meet y'all!

We usually hold writing contests pretty regularly. Glad to have another competitor join!

    Welcome!

Fan fiction! Yeah, tried that once and it came out pretty well received. Was worried I'd be violating the copyright of the famous author but discovered the story I used as a jumping off point was in the public domain. Look forward to yours.

Ah... the contests. Have to look for those. Mine was a takeoff from A Rose for Emily. Pretty sure most authors would cringe if they read a Fan Fiction take on their story. Faulkner will never see mine!
