Hello, I'm new to the forums and to writing in general. I'm a student at the university of toronto studying political science and history, but my interests branch out in all directions. When I was younger, I used to give stories to some grand strategy video games I used to play. I used to give backgrounds to characters, create situations and make the game come alive. However, that was the extent of my creative writing and I am here now to officially get into it and see where it takes me. I like to think that I have some sort of talent in writing, especially in formal essay writing. Creatively, I feel I could put my thoughts to paper for everyone to enjoy, especially with the advice I hope to gain from this community. My goal is to write for fun, but there is always the notion in the back of my mind, as I think every writer has, that my work could be noticed and appreciated by the public (I don't pretend to be at that level, just yet anyway). I look forward to sharing ideas with everyone here and getting a good start to creative writing
