Here I am, another amateur word-sequencer. I am entirely oblivious to the business and marketing side of writing, and don't want to become familiar with it. I put my words where I want them, fiddle with them a bit, and then let them rot in notebooks which I leave on the floor by the couch for six months and then finally pick up again, typing whatever contents they hold and posting the result on Blogger.
-shakes your hand- Welcome to the Forum! We have a bunch of fantastic members and helpful boards. I hope you enjoy it.

Okay, I'll agree that I'm insane Torana, but you can scarcely call yourself normal Anyway, welcome to the forums, aCuriousGerald. I hope that you enjoy becoming slowly addicted to this place, and that it helps your writing (even as it kills your social life ). If you need any help with anything, or run into any problems, please feel free to ask, as I'm always happy to help.

I'm a newcomer myself, so I decided to stay away from this board...but hey, a welcome doesn't hurt anyone. So Welcome, and I hope that you enjoy your stay here. Feel free to PM anyone (including me) for any problem or issue. Of course, I have limited brain resources.
Hello Gerald, welcome to the Writing Forums. You aren't the only one here who writes for the pleasure of writing rather than with the market in mind. Either way, you'll find many useful and enjoyable resources here, from discussions of planning a story or poem to character development, imagery, and punctuation and grammar. There are also discussions on how to deal with publishers, should your interests change. We also have weekly writing contests and other exercises to stretch your writing muscles, and other forums just for fun, to interact with and get to know the other members. We also have the Review Room forums, which are a great place to train your critical eye by reveiwing other people's work. After you've developed that critical eye, you can use it to polish up a sample of your own writing and then post it for others to dissect. So take a look around and see what other unique features we offer - not least of which are the members themselves. Above all, have fun!
Welcome to the forums, its good to have you here and I look forward to seeing more of you around. Psst... don't worry you will most definately adjust to the insanity of a few of our more...crazy... members... *cough* Torana, Banzai and Heather *cough*. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask them.
