I've been writing for a few years. Since the beginning, my writing has improved but still has a way to go. For the most part, I like to write fantasy, and romance. Those two genres fill most of my bookcase. The exception to that is, the series by Janet Evanovich's Plum series and Dean Koontz books. I do enjoy reading. Last night I read through many of the forums here and feel I can learn alot more that will help with my writing. Sandy

Hello Sandy, Welcome (back) to the Writing Forums. If you haven't explored the site yet (and it sounds like you have at least to some degree), you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners. As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. Eventually I'll wonder to the Lounge and Word Game forums, but for right now, this site has much educational forums to explore. That may sound a bit selfish.
