Hey everyone just found this place thought I'd say g'day. I love sci-fi so that will probably be where i do most of my posting. I've wanted to be a writer forever so I've started plugging away at some short stories while I do the leg work for the novel I'm working on. It's so good to finally have access to other writers for advice and support and a first audience. I'm looking forward to reading all your work and I will try to help where possible. We have chocolates in the foyer, A movie theater in the kitchen... We didn't really hire a "professional" building designer so everything sort of came out like this: Don't worry though, we're protected by fifty feet of steel reinforced Plywood. G'Day Accerbyss, Welcome to the Writing Forums. I favor sci-fi myself, but I've certainly gained by flexing my brain along the lines of other genres. Pushing one's limits represnts growth. If you haven't explored the entire site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners. Remember to check out our FAQ as well! As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room forums on this site, therefore, are true workshops, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work (and on that note, please only post each item for review in one Review Room forum).
