I started reading this book once back in elementary school possibly 10 years ago and I really liked it. Unfortunately I never finished it. Actually, I think I hardly began. I don't know how famous or popular it is/was but I was hoping with my hints somebody could help me find it. 1. It was fantasy 2. The antagonists were witches. Either 2 or 3 of them. 3. The protagonist was young. 4. He had a bear (I think) companion that could talk. 5. There may have been more talking animals. 6. I'm assuming it was a childrens or young adult book. I know my descriptions are vague. If I saw the cover of the book I could probably recognize it. If anybody has any idea at all, I'd appreciate it.
