The original title was "It's About Cats" which I kind of liked until I realized I hated it. It's a one act about two detective cats, who are investigating the murder of one of their toys. Along the way they interview a bunch of principles of the cat world, like a laser pointer, the vacuum cleaner, and a can opener. At the end it turns out that one of the cats was actually the murderer. Anyway it needs a title I don't hate, so anyone who feels like a brain storming session, feel free to offer suggestions. Something to do with cats and betrayal, in as few words as possible. And I've already crossed off Paw and Order. It doesn't really send the message I want.
Pawdners Maybe not, already associated with Colorado. (pet kennel there) ETA: Impurrceptible I kinda don't like the last one now that I think about all the commercials with purr-words in them, unless I'm imagining things. Probably cliché anyways.
That's actually the name of the project file, I decided against it because of this At some point this is going out to one act festivals and I don't want someone to think of this when they see the title.
I know that you've crossed it off your list, but I think Paw and Order is a pretty good title, and I'm not sure that I think that any of the proposed replacements is as good as that. A quick google shows that Paw and Order has already been used a lot, but then anything simple will have been. How about a feline punny version of a Sherlock Holmes title. The Adventure of the Devil's Paw, His Last Meow, The Litter Box of Fear or something like that.
'Murder on a hot tin roof' , < requires resetting location. 'Two Cats a Murderer' 'Two Felines and a Toy Felony'
This Is Not A Dog Story Cat Detective Pet Detective (whoops, taken!) ..this is harder than I thought....
