Alright here is a description of the protagonist in a new story i'm writing. Name Albert Briar Hair Color Black Eye Color Blue Height 6'1 Weight 160 pounds Birthday October 1, 1879 (is 18 in the current time) Sign Libra Nationality- British Albert Briar, Oxford University student is the adopted son of Conson Briar a highly wealthy and influential British Banking Magnate. Highly sophisticated, and intelligent, he is a politician to be, hoping to become a major figure of the british empire, and is also fairly knowledgable on history, and economics, although neither interests him highly. An emotional stone, Albert is extremly serious, and single minded in his studies until one fateful day when he is haunted by recurring dreams about evil and ancient horrors. Now he has to travel through the Middle East, and Greece, to search for answers. Even though he generally maintains a composed exterior, Albert hides many hidden, and painful inner conflicts within, relating to his harsh father, and adoptive status. These sometimes manifest in raging outbursts. During the course of his adventure Albert will also discover himself, and develop as his adult life begins.
Sounds like an okay character, I mean. What were you asking? What was the purpose of your post? The question of hero or anti-hero is entirely up to you. A character profile doesn't do it. It's all in the actual writing - WHO is this guy, and how does he interact with his world? Those are questions only you can answer.
Oh, i just wanted to know if he should be a hero, or anti hero. But what you said is an excellent answer, thnx
Height 6'1 Weight 160 pounds He's really skinny? Depends on your story. Is the role you set for him a heroic one or a evil one? We can't tell you what your character should be its your story.
I'm afraid no one here can really answer your question for you. Whether your main character is a "hero" or "anti-hero" is a key feature of your story and something you should come up with for yourself. Given the description you provided he would likely possess some psychopathic tendencies (inability to feel emotion/empathy) which leans toward anti-hero, but the same description you provide leaves it open for a hero who discovers his true nature through experience. Start writing and let your story and the character guide you.
It depends on the story you want to write. The info you gave us could go either way toward hero or anti-hero.
