Hi there guys ! I have joined recently a week ago, I was kind of tied up with work here which is why I didn’t get a chance to introduce to you myself. So, When I became free, I thought I would introduce to you myself. I am Rizwan and I am from India, Hyderabad. I am doing job in a well known local company. I was and am passionate about writing stories, scenes, scripts and daily journal. This was just a time pass for me when I was a child and was alone but as I grew older I got passionate about writing and now what ever I do in my life, I just take a pen and write it down in my latest dairy. I have been writing daily since the year, 2004 and still continuing it. I have interest in writing stories, short stories, scripts and I am aiming to become a storywriter cum film director after two to four years of time span. I was looking for a forum which would help me, guide me, a forum where i can share my work and look onto others work and meet different people who share the same interest as me. Interact with them, get to know them a lot ( and I hope I do ) and have a great time here in Writing forum and also learn as much as I can and improve as much as I can from here. I think this place would be so much of help to me to improve my writing abilities, in whatever I was lacking in, I hope I could learn more and more ... I think for me, Writing Forums is the best place to share, to learn, to improve to get to know everyone and I am just looking forward for all these and mainly have a great time with you all. So, I hope you would all welcome me in your forum and make my stay a great one. To you all members with regards ! - Rizwan.
Namaste Rizwan, Welcome to the Writing Forums. Posting your own work should not be among the very first things you do here. It is worth taking the time to see what other people have done to improve their writing, and see if some of it applies to your writing as well. That is part of why we require members to review other members' work before posting their own for review. On the other hand, there are no restrictions, other than content and copyright rules, on showcasing your work in your member blog. If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners. Remember to check out our FAQ as well, and be sure to read through the forum rules, too, to avoid any misunderstandings or hurt feelings. Respect for one another is our principal mandate. As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room forums on this site, therefore, are true workshops, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work (and on that note, please only post each item for review in one Review Room forum). See this post, Why Write Reviews Before Posting My Work? for more information. And while you're looking around, don't forget to check out our Weekly Short Story Contest and Weekly Poetry Contest. They actually run more than one week apiece, but any member may enter, and all members are urged to vote for their favorites. Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!
