Hi. My username is Eric, though people call me Jonathan. I aspire to be a writing of non-fiction and fiction genre. I am a published (Though I am not entirely sure of it) poet, as I have a poem in the International Library of Poetry. The books name is Forever Spoken, editor is Howard Ely. Anyone know him or the book? My father thinks it might be a scam, but I'm not so sure. If you want to read the poem, just let me know and I'll post it. Well, nice to meet you, hope I get better at writing from this place, and will recommend it to my other friends.
Welcome. Haven't heard of the editor, but maybe it's credible. Hope you like it here. Ask me if you have any questions.
Hi, Eric! Welcome to the Writing Forums! If you need anything, or if you just want to talk, just pm me! [T A S H]
Hello Eric, Welcome to the Writing Forums. There are a lot of scams out there. If you ask about the editor in the General Writing -> Publishers forum, there's a decent chance someone will be able to answer your concerns. If you haven't explored the site yet, you should probably do so soon. Newcomers often gravitate to the Lounge, the Word Games, or the Review Room, but there is much more to be discovered if you poke in the corners. Remember to check out our FAQ as well! As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room forums on this site, therefore, are true workshops, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work (and on that note, please only post each item for review in one Review Room forum). See this post, Why Write Reviews Before Posting My Work? for more information. Enjoy your stay here, and have fun!
People call me Jonathan because it is my real name. And this is the poem~ Without Friends Ah, the eternal boredom of having no friends, Will it be like this till my very end? When I die, Will a friend come to say, goodbye? Mabye I need friends, To help me ascend, To go up to that heavenly place, With all their grace, I'm going out, To search about, For a friend... That is that.
Nice. Keep it up. I've felt like that a lot of times also. I like how at the end he doesn't just give up, he goes to look for a friend.
