I go by the handle Blacksmith11. I'm currently writing a story where the main character runs afoul of an Alien Space Bat who as typical, wants him to help the Nazis. He refuses, gets waterboarded for 4 weeks before the ASB gives up and both rewards and punishes him by sending him to another world with dimensional travel capabilities, functional immortality that he can pass on to others. Except he can only travel to worlds no later than 3,000 BCE, when the Bronze Age is well into swing with the Sumerians, the First Dynasty of Egypt has begun but the Old Kingdom Period has yet to start. The Uruk expansion has ended due to warfare lost to history, in that we know fighting occurred including several massacres and sacks of cities, but the actors and context is a mystery, but it led to Uruk building walls demolishing the Eanna District and rebuilding it as an inner fortress and palace complex. In North America the Old Copper Complex is mining copper, but for reasons that remain unknown and despite Arsenic, Zinc, Coal, Lead, Iron, and Silver being in abundance, they never break through to a Bronze Age with Arsenical Bronze like the Sumerians, nor did they create brass, pewter, or smelt iron. In South America, the first villages are forming. Europe is a black hole in terms of what is going on outside of the Aegean Cultures. We have several massacre sites dated to this period, but who and why are mysteries. Our main character is given a Virgin Earth, his 16 year old son, 6 year old daughter, mother-in-law, a Harem of 1,034 girls in typical harem attire, 200,000 Eunuchs, a set of Dendra Panoply for himself and his son, but otherwise his Eunuchs only have the military technology of that time. In short he has his work cut out for him. My hope is that by joining this forum, I can make this story a reality.
