Hi , i am new to writing and have a novel underway however as i work full time its going to take a while. I thought i would park that for the moment and write some flash and short stories. Typically these would be gritty northern realism?, violent frequently with dark humour, think Irvine Welch. I have know idea where to send these type of stories either for competitions, critique or publishing. I don't even know what genre they would be described as? If anyone has any answers or can point me in the right direction i would be much obliged. Kind regards
