How can a creator safely share a huge fiction development with freelance writer?

In the UK there's a small claims track to the county patent court (which also deals with copyright and IP generally) it costs £85 - Ive used it for photo cases, but as you say the difficulty is with collecting after judgement .. it nearly always turns out that they are either without the means to pay, or in a n unenforceable jurisdiction
