How do I make my characters meet?

Discussion in 'Fantasy' started by itsGarbagegurll, May 28, 2021.

I want my two main charecters (the alpha and his mate) to meet in a romantic way, alone, just the both of them. But I'm not sure how I want this to take place. Any suggestions?

on the moon, where a flying whale army is waging war just above them against the Flying Squids, their werewolf allies holding their own on the ground against the wereseals. The Alpha spies our injured wereseal heroine and, rescues her from impending doom. As the battle rages on, they only have were-eyes for each other, and that was when the Alpha knew, he'd fallen in love with the wereseal warrior girl......

on a serious note... without knowing your story, plot or even your characters, we cant really provide suggestions. "Romantic way" could mean many things to many people

IDK, people meet up in plenty of ways that
are either preplanned or random events.
Like at the beach, or on a roller coaster.
Or even the mythical Epic Moon Battle

The biggest cliche in the book (pun intended :p )
is to have them meet for coffee or a restaurant.
Romance is like beauty, it's all int the eye of the beholder,
so have fun with it, and allow things to get a little silly or
    strange. :)

(Though it would be pretty memorable if they fell in love
at Disney land, after he punched Mickey's lights out. ) :D

Good luck and happy writing. :superidea:

One is sprinting naked, streaking through a crowded public square. With a bomb strapped to his/her body. Protesting something or other. Anti-terrorist forces are closing in, so he or she leaps into a car just as it's leaving the intersection, and it's the car of the other character, who then leads authorities on a merry chase and eventually loses them, only to reveal that he or she is him-or-herself an off-duty officer of said terrorist forces. But hopelessly in love now, so of course quits his or her job and goes on the run.

This is a story 'bout Billy Joe and Bobbie Sue
Two young lovers with nothin' better to do
Than sit around the house, get high, and watch the tube
And here is what happened when they decided to cut loose

Seems you're writing a boy's love story, OP. There are, like, a million ways for them to spend their time alone.

I mean, if you've read boy's love or yaoi stories, then you might have an idea where they'll end up.

Edit: I went through the OP's post history. OP's not writing a boy's love story. OP, you need to make it clear what's your story about so you can get better help.
