For example, I've read the first two Harry Potter books and watched all of the movies. I would have a lot more, but Agatha Christie, Rex Stout and Mickey Spillane aren't on the list. :redface:
I suck, I'm only at 20. I can't believe 'Breakfast of Champions,' 'Cat's Cradle,' or 'Slaughter House Five' aren't on that list. That's a shame.

Seeing how many others have read, I feel a bit ashamed by saying that I've only read 2 (or 1, depending on if you need to have read all Sherlock Holmes books in order for them to count as 1). I might have read more, but then it would have been with Swedish titles which I would not know the English translation of.
I've read 33 of these, maybe more, but can't remember if it was the book I read or if I saw the movie. A couple of the ones I excluded are on my shelves for future reading. They've been there a while and have yet to reach the top of the pile.
16. But I make myself feel better by saying that I have nearly all of them in my house, in various TBR stacks. Does it make it worse to say I've seen more than 35 in movie form?
I've read between 16 and 17: all but one of the Harry Potter books, also, #36 The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is part of #33, The Chronicles of Narnia which is the complete set of 6 books. I didn't count the ones that I've tried to read and couldn't get very far before I simply gave up from lack of interest.
So far, I've read 28 of these. Most of the remaining ones I expect I'll be reading in the years to come. Then again, there are some that I've tried reading, but have failed miserably to entertain me. Like 'Gone with the wind'. I'm never picking that up again.
There are only 13 there that I haven't read. This is slanted to British readers more, I think. I hated Cold Comfort Farm and I only finished it because I thought eventually I'd understand why it's considered so great. I've also only read 2 of the Harry Potters, and that was just because my daughter loved them so much and wanted to talk about them with me.
