How Old Are You and What Would Be Your Ideal Job?

I'm mid-twenties, and currently working on an English major. Whether I take that to Masters or beyond is still left up in the air, but for now, Bachelors is a bar set high enough for me.
My dream job would be troubleshooting avionic electronic equipment for Northrop-Grumman or Rockwell-Collins until my twilight years, but since I never got the proper paperwork in order before getting discharged from the Navy, that dream job will stay just that- a dream
My secondary dream job is to be a professional reader. With all the crazy, off the wall, bizarre, and entrepreneur-istic jobs out there, I'm sure somewhere, somehow, someone has managed to create a job and maintain a profession in reading. And I want that job. Someday. Maybe part-time, even. But I want it

 

I'm sixteen and my ideal job would definitely be a novelist and/or just a general reviewer. :')

 

I'm 61, and technically retired. I now run my own business, selling and sharpening knives. My technique in sharpening is to use Japanese waterstones, like those used in sharpening Samurai swords.

My 'adult job' was in finance, I was a credit manager who specialized in saving distressed companies. Don't let that description fool you--I was/am also a member of a motorcycle club. And yes, I mean 'that kind' of motorcycle club.

Finance is hard, stressful work. I got tired of asking "who's the liar." Was I a credit manager pretending to be a biker, or a biker pretending to work in finance. So I quit.

I stood there in crappy jeans, a black T-shirt and two Harleys in the garage and I tried to answer that question honestly. As I burned my suits...

 

I'm 15 and I really, really want to be a biotechnologist -- and I'm already working on it. Though if I could be a writer, it would be good too...

 

I'm 16 and I'd like to be a novelist. Becoming a harpist would be fun too.

 

25 and a social worker. Yes, I had a mid-college life crisis and switched mid way through, so, I'll get there.

 

17 - I'm well on my way to becoming a doctor.
My dream's to serve as a cardiologist.

 

I'm 15 and if it weren't for pressure from my parents to make a lot of money and go to a good college a job I would want to do is be a Ski-Instructor in the Rocky Mountains. However Ski-Instructors don't make very much so I can't really consider it.

 

I am 24 years of age and I'm a prison officer. Not something I'll be spending my entire life doing or it will put me six feet under by the age of 40 with a stress related heart attack, haha. But my ideal job would be, like many of you yourselves, a writer! ...but for now, unfortunately, I will have to settle for writing in whatever free time I may have. I even write on brief dinner breaks haha. May sound silly to some but I visited a new huge library recently (a refurbished and renovated old church) and I would love to work there being surrounded by soooooooo many books!

 

I'm 20, I was going to become a teacher but I changed my mind so for now I'll happily stay as a shop manager

 

I'm 24, currently training in plastic surgery.

My ideal job would be the above but with one added perk. Every year I get four months off to lose myself in my writing and produce a new novel. One can dream.

 

I'm 45 and I'm a chemist, manufacturing engineer, and distracted individual. If I could choose my job, I'd like to open my own chocolate shop. I've had a fascination with the manufacture of it for many years.

 

I'm 18, and my ideal job would be training wild animals in captivity, such as sea lions and tigers in zoos and whatnot, as well as working towards their conservation. Unfortunately, science bores me and is necessary for that field.. so I'm studying at University to become a photographer, and can only hope it leads me to Africa.

 

im 26. my ideal job would be a Zoologist or Marine Biologist

 

I'm 22 and my ideal job (other than being able to live off of my writing) is probably being an archaeologist. I'm currently studying teaching and am a part-time cinema projectionist.

I'm 19 and, aside of course becoming a writer, I would like to become a teacher at an international school. Preferably, Paris.

 

Im 31 and an analyst for a utilities company and also self employed content writer on the side - but I would love to be a full time author

 

19. I really want to be an actress, but that's probably never going to happen. But a girl can dream, right?

 

I'm eighteen. I want to be a published writer, a singer, a nurse, a marine biologist or a psychologist. Then again I could change my mind in the next few seconds and decide I want to be a bowl of cereal named Cyril. You never know.

 

Twenty-something. Director in film/music videos or screenplay writer.

I've done work as a journalist, photographer and film editor and I'm going back to school this year to study more in this area. Right now I'm just volunteering, taking on occasional graphic/web design work and proofreading.

 

20. Construction worker or a blueberry farmer out in Ocala/areas around Lake Welaka. I could go either way.

 

20. Ideally I'd like to run my own business, maybe in publishing.

 

27. I have my ideal job, I work in Emergency Medical Services. Love what I do.

 

13. A psychologist, an artist, and an author. But ideally I'd travel the world raising adopted children to a ridiculously labour-intensive extent.

 

im 25 and i would like to write for a living. But until then id be happy to move up to driller in the oil field
