The new Amazing Stories site has a series called 'Playing the Short Game: How to Sell your Short Fiction', aimed at new writers. I have found it to be inspiring as well as informative. For example, he makes an excellent case for submitting to your ideal market first, I wasn't going to aim so high. Amazing Stories publishes speculative fiction, so some of the market and other links are strictly genre. Apart from that, I think the series could help people writing in other areas.
