Takes place at Basel train station, Switzerland, where the authorities have found out a terrorist is cowering inside, after leaving a car bomb waiting at the taxi stands. I need the Swiss Special Forces to go in and find the terrorist, without harming any civilians, and without arousing much suspicion. Any ideas on how to go about doing this? P.S. The terrorist will be killed.
Put the Special Forces on a train, and bring it into the Station. Let them search from the inside out, as it were. People in a train station would not be overly concerned about troops arriving by train. At least not like they would be by troops arriving from the street.
The bomb would be deactivated. Police snipers would be ready, just in case. And secret police would enter the station trying to find the terrorist. Other than that, they would just set men around the station, waiting for the terrorist to get out or the secret police to find him. A train station wouldn't be "stormed" for a single terrorist hiding inside.
Most probably to avoid the terrile chaos of someone screaming "TERRORIST ATTACK!" in a train station with several hundrer passengers, which would cause many injured and, probably, the escape of said terrorist during the ensuing chaos.
If the Special Forces guys were like "terrorist attackz!!" or somethin maybe. Sounds rather unprofessional. Otherwise you might be suprised at how oblivious masses of people can be, lol. Could points tho. Perhaps they could shut the station down under the pretense of something lesser (an escaped convict, a gas leak, ect), evacuate & screen the passengers and presumably either capture the terrorist in the masses or corner him in the station. Not necessarily any more plausible, but worth considering. Is he a danger in his 'cowering' state? Armed? How would they locate & identify him unless he has a big turban or something? They have him on surveillance already? Is there publicity on the taxi-car bomb situation? Are people more terror-aware than usual? Just trying to understand your 2 liner OP better. Not too much to go off right now, but it sounds pretty interesting.
well, this guy is on Interpol tracking lists. French citizen, with experience within the French armed forces. The Swiss police have been tracking him, and only the day before did they find his position by tracing his phone. The chances are, that he is armed, but only with a small revolver or so. Clearer?
