    How to submit a story?

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Lazy_writer, Nov 1, 2010.

Just wondering if you can copy and paste from Word 2007, for to submit a story? Would hate to have to write it all again as a post.

You can copy and paste it, but more often than not the formatting will be screwed up. It's alright though, cause you can always go through before you post it and reformat it correctly :)

when you copy an excerpt from your work and paste it into a thread the indents will be lost, so you will then need to insert line breaks wherever there's an indent in the original...

you can copy/paste from anything, including word '07... if you don't know how, here's a step-by-step:

    - place cursor on the beginning of the part you want to copy
    - left-click, hold and drag mouse to the end, highlighting it
    - click on ctrl+c to copy
    - place cursor in the post box and click ctrl+v to paste...

Please read How to Use the Review Room, and take note of the third bullet point.

    i should have qualified that:

didn't mean to say you can c/p from others' works without citing the source, if such is clearly stated as being allowed, or without their explicit permission, if not...
