I cannot refrain from revising while writing, nor can I plan the content beforehand.

    One of the moderators told me that I was making too many duplicate threads and that I can continue to post in threads I already started. So I am reviving this one.

    I think that since I am no longer trying to emulate the prose style of the King James Bible, at least for now, it is not so bad if I edit as I go. But in one of the books I have, the author says that it is best to draft quickly and to revise later (not in those exact words). I am not sure if I should strive to do that.

    I have no idea how I managed to write the original post of this thread. I must have had so much energy.

    Whats the worst thing that can happen if you stop the editing-during-writing? The words don't matter. Tell yourself the story first. I used to do this. You can stop. It is possible.
