I click "Reply" in other threads and get "Creative Writing Forums - Writing Help, Writing Workshops, & Writing Community - Error Please enter a valid message," instead of a box to enter the message into. Is it just my internet connection, or are other people getting this too?
Is it still happening? I'm not experiencing the phenomenon. Is it in a particular subforum or in any/all of them?
You might want to scan your text for some stray apostrophes (these: '), slashes (these: / \) and other uncommon characters like (~ and "' (the triple quote)). This may not be the issue at all, but my hunch is that you have one invalid character (not in the UTF-8 or ANSI character set) or an escape character somewhere in your text. Try posting your post in a flat text editor like notepad or gedit, save it as .txt and then copy the content back here. There could be hidden tabs in your text or unrecognized RTF characters/makeup if you've copied some of your post from another source. The apostrophes shouldn't cause an issue really, but there's a technical reason as to why the sometimes can, if they aren't properly 'escaped'. To be plain, the ' and / characters have meaning to the programming language that controls the database. Once again, I am pretty confident that theses aren't the issue, but in some rare circumstances, they can be. Particularly if you have a whole string of invalid/unrecognized characters.
