I got a job!

Well I am pleased to say that I have finally got myself a job! YAY I get cash in hand as well which is really good, but I still have to declare my earnings to the government as I am on a single parenting payment.

But early hours this morning at exactly 2am I got back from Perth and stopped in to visit a friend to talk to her about some things and so she knew I got home safely. She informed me that her neighbour wanted to know if I could work for her.

So of course I said yes. So this Saturday night at 6pm I begin working and go through until 2am on Sunday morning. All the work I will be doing will be this kind of shift as I am going to be working behind a bar serving alcohol.

I am so excited as I haven't worked now in four years basically.

Yeah well anyways sorry for the new thread but I was just so excited and had to share it with someone

I don't care if I stuff up, I'm only human so it's to be expected really.

Congrats, ah, the pleasure of work, with my type of work I seem cursed to wear hi vis and steel caps.

 

I'm cursed to smell like petrol. However, I exact my reveng eby giving people bad directions.

 

Thank you LOP! I have worked outdoors a lot and had to wear yellow ran gear. Was so not a good look but loved the outdoor work. i hate drunks so yeah should be interesting lol

 

DOZ don't ever give me bad directions cause I get lost with good directions lol just ask my mate from the other night. An hour to find him in a car park almost lol not kewl

Ah, yes, the yellow, I prefer the orange, seems less, criminally bright and ugly.

And I agree the orange isn't as bad and the green blends in well too. But alas I was doomed with the yellow banana looking rain gear and I hated it too. I looked like a banana!! lol I miss working outdoors though. Orange is definately better!!!!

It is hard to do really. I have to memorize price listings and where everythig is and stuff like that. Plus you get sore hands from opening bottles and cans all the time.

And putting up with sleezy drunks ain't ever fun. But yeah it will be great fun I think. Especially since me and my best friend are working together and know a lot of the people that will be there already lol

 

well thats oryte. and i love drunk people, lol. i am used to them. i want to work at like a mans clothing shop when i am in collage and that so i can meet loadsa fit guys

Well I'm probably going to be a shelf-stacker at Tesco. Wonderfully stimulating work But nah, I just want money so I can spend it on my beautiful lady
