It was only the college one, but I'm pleased!!! XD The brief was write a story about 'an alternative nativity' in 750 words or less, and I won the runner-up prize, which was £20 of Waterstones vouchers, muhahaha! First prize was a Sony Reader, which I would have ADORED, but I do have a little list I can chew through quite nicely with those vouchers! I may even get my photo in the paper... I'm not showing off, I just wanted everyone to know that even if you're busy, stressed, and feeling like something people avoid on the pavement, you can still write something half-decent even when you in only get the motivation at 10am... and the deadline is 1pm. Good luck everyone if you're entering/have entered a competition!! (By the way, if this is in the wrong forum, please feel free to move it. )
Well... perhaps I could be persuaded... Should it be in the Review Room, or posted in this thread though?? 0_o
That is a very good question. Ask Cogito (he's gonna hate me for saying that) and say we requested it.
brava!!! re posting it, don't do that if you intend to submit it for publication... and if was good enough for a prize, you should certainly consider doing so, imo... love and hugs, maia
Nahh mamma, I won't submit it to anything, purely because I wrote it as a little aside to the fact the first prize in the competition was a Sony Reader - it's involved quite heavily, and to anyone else who reads, it might come off a bit strange!! Anyway, the story is now available on my blog if anyone wants to take a look!
