Now there are a large variety of melee weapons, knives, bats, telescopic batons and other blunt/cutting weapons. Now im thinking about wooden weapons, perhaps you would have something interesting to advise? I know i can use google but then why is the "Research" section in the forums? i just want to hear your recomendations, all i can think up is a wooden stake as a cutting weapon.
Minibats, wooden baseball bats. Billy clubs used to be wooden. Those things pirates used to hit people with and tie ropes, sailors may have used them too. Fencepost and so on, anything can be a weapon, in the wrong hands.
Nunchaku: two wooden sticks, about 15" long, made of wood, usually highly polished or painted, chained together; Eskrima: one stick, usually of rattan, about three feet long (may be longer or shorter depending upon personal preference), generally used singularly but may be used in pairs. Either option, in the hands of a skilled martial artist, can be deadly. Although, as J Faceless alluded, ANY piece of wood, in the hands of a knowledgeable combatant, can serve as a more than devastating weapon.
This made me think of the awesome series, Here and There, Then and Now: Ridged clubs would work (are animal teeth allowed as affixements?). Also: staffs, spears.
