So, just saying outright that I am not (NOT) promoting any particular program here. Now that I have cleared that up, here is something I recently started doing that has helped me a lot with editing. I have a text to speech program on my computer. So, every time I finish a chapter, I copy and paste it into the program and listen to it. It is so much easier for me to hear when I have made a typo then to catch it when I am rereading it. It also helps me hear if my dialogue would flow like a normal conversation if read out loud. Just something interesting I thought you all might be interested in.
I don't know about using it for editing, but I've just fed some of my current story into an online TTS and it's very interesting to hear someone else reading my work Not sure if this link will work, but this is how my story sounds: http://www.fromtexttospeech.com/texttospeech_output_files/0344895001437937322/7348490.mp3
