    Edward Stratemeyer was the syndicate owner/creator but a good portion of the authors of both Carolyn Keene and Franklin W Dixon were/are female.

    only in the late 20th century did that happen. I happen to know one of Edward's daughters was the second ghostwriter of Nancy Drew, after someone else. But could we get back on topic here?
