    image extensions

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by erebh, Sep 14, 2013.

Does anybody know what image extensions the new format accepts.

I've tried jpg and a couple of others but keep getting a security warning.

I'm partial to .png files simply because of their capacity to handle transparency (something I need when it comes to work) so I always hunt for those by habit. Haven't had an issue yet with one. ;)

Hmmm... I've been having similar problems. Were you trying to place the images inline, or were you trying to upload a file? I've noticed that when I get an error message when trying to post inline, if I use another reply button in the thread, rather than the one directly above my text box, it often does the trick.

Not sure whether it'll help in your case, but I thought I'd mention it.

Ah.... I think you and I were doing different things. Do you mean hotlinking like I did in my first reply to you in this thread, or are you trying to upload a picture to you album? Or is the platform maybe giving you errors with both actions?

Is anyone still having an issue with this? Attachments or images in image gallery? I'd think .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, and others should all work, it's possible it's a file size issue. If you're still having this problem let me know and I'll look into it further.
