Unfortunatly, Torana's daughter is undergoing more tests. Torana has asked me to keep you informed and to let you all know that she won't be able to make it back to the forum for some time. I will keep you all well informed and let you know what happens and when she is planning on returning. ~Doz ps, I know I should post this in the come and go room but I wanted people that don't tend to look in the come and go thread to know why she won't be available for some time.

No prob. Her daughter has to have a catscan and I think Torana said that they have to do afew more tests before they can know what is wrong. I'm sure it's routine though. She will be happy to have all the suppourt behind her.
Catscans are fairly routine. Anytime something is wrong inside a person (not counting bones) no matter how serious, doctors like having catscans. Especially if the person can't explain how they're feeling.
It's kinda like stool/urine samples. It seems to be general practice for doctors to do catscans. Nothing to fret about.
A bit too much info there Banzai. But yeah, catscans are pretty routine just to double check a few things. But it will be a while before Torana can give a full explination about what's happening. I will def keep you guys informed!
I am on the phone to her right now her daughter has an enlarged left lunge there not sure the reason behind it they think a foreign body the scans and tests should show all Thankyou everyone for your thoughts and support her daughter is asleep in a cadge again and torana is stuck on a uncomfortable reclines with no junk food just health food and flavoured water that tastes icky yukka lol She is still wingding as much as ever( Torana that is lol) shadow tiger x
Shadowtiger, LOL. She was sending me txt msgs the same.. didn't help that she left her wallet in her mums car and her mum's an hour or so away!
Thank you tiger and bear for the updates . Please convey my best wishes to Torana and her daughter. A CAT scan is really not a big deal, although the scanning chamber can be a bit disconcerting if the patient is claustrophobic. But a CAT scan itself is totally painless. Computer Aided Tomography is just a way of taking a series of x-ray scans, each one a "slice" of the area under examination, then stacking them together to form a detailed three-dimensional image of everything in that area. It's the best way of finding out if there is anything anywhere in there that doesn't belong.
I've had an MRI scan before. The 'roof', if you will, is right in front of your nose, probably about a centimetre away. The noise is a bit loud and wierd and I dealt with the small space by closing my eyes while desperatly trying not to fall asleep because then the MRI would have to be taken again,and thirty minutes wasted. I actually jerked once and thought I had blown it but the nice guy said I was fine. The coolest part was the techno nature stuff he was playing, which I kind of liked. So these big machines are pretty scary really, but it makes it easier if you can take your mind off it.
I will. She's a cutie. I think I will give her the biggest hug on behalf of the forum when I see her next!
