...And it's snowing outside. No, it's not just snowing, it's a damn whiteout. And the lights just flickered. April means rain: April showers bring May flowers. April means that Winter is over, and you don't need to wear heavy jackets. Maybe Mother Nature just needs to see this. Are you looking, mother? A-P-R-I-L Not D-E-C-E-M-B-E-R Is that clear enough for you? I'm losing it. I can't take this damn weather anymore. Please, no more Winter.... No more Winter.
I live in Houston, Texas. Texas is known for oil, cows, farms. The things you don't hear about are the hip hop scene, the large pickup truck industry, and the weather. If you were a mosquito, Houston, Texas would be synonymous with heaven. Down here, if you step outside you will begin to sweat, even if you're standing still. A hairstyle is a metaphor here. Anything you try to do will be a ball of frizzy knots after five minutes of our wind. Our winter means that for a period of two months, those months being december and january, there is a small chance that for a period not to exceed two weeks in total, the temperature will go below 50 f. I live in Houston, Texas, and I'm 23 years old. I have never seen snow.
Consider yourself lucky. I lived in Virginia for many years, so I have seen both sides of the spectrum. Living in a really hot area is a blessing compared to living in the cold snow.
Just make your way to Australia. I've never touched natural snow in my life and it's only started raining here after 6 months of continual heat.
ha... I can relate. The snow (which had been on the ground since October) has finally melted here, and it's been decently warm the past few days, but I believe snow is predicted for this weekend. I live in Alaska, lived here all my life. According to my parents anyway, it was below zero the entire month I was born (January). In Alaska we have four seasons: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Construction
Is that when they build the ice hotel? Well where I live we have 4 seasons in a day actually. The only consistent thing about our weather, is that it is never consitent. It can be stinking hot one minute and then pouring with rain the next and freezing cold. I love the cold. Connolly, wanna swap? I hate hot weather!
I have to get out of here. I already hate the West, this is just making it worse. I have to get out of here...!
Yeah, I live in India, so it should be hot...but it's hot only in the south, and in the plains..at least it was, two days ago it started raining there too, and it's been heavy showers here for 1 week!! we even had snow!! And we've alredy have had it thrice this year!! even for Nainital, that's scandalous!! it's APRIL, we go on a school picnic this time around, cos it's warm!! it's supposed to be spring!! We should be moaning our heads off cos it's so hot and we're being made to atend P.T Practices. But it's RAINING......and I'm going mad!
It's teh end of the world as we know it..... anyone seen day after tomorrow??? It snowed in India..... eeep.....
somehow I can't react how I'm supposed to react to that. *shrugs* believe i or not, I' buched up cosily between two heaters, the tvs on a plate of steaming pakoras and aloo ke gutke and a cup of steaming tea. So you can guess how cold it is.
Idaho Falls is much warmer. Boise is doing pretty good too. It might rain over here where I'm at today.
Hear, hear. It looked like summer yesterday, now it looks like winter again. *sigh* story of my life. I'm so glad I'm getting away from here for college
