Anger flared up inside of Kaethe. "This is the first time I recommend to someone, don't go to the Forgotten Keep...it's not worth it," Enigma said. "What the hell do you mean it's not worth it?!" She forced herself to calm down, she was way overreacting. "What I mean is, how do you know it's not worth it to us? And anyways I don't think everyone here has a goal of necessarily starting time again...I know it's not my goal."
"This is the first time I recommend to someone, don't go to the Forgotten Keep...it's not worth it," Enigma said. "That's all you had to say." "What the hell do you mean it's not worth it?!" She forced herself to calm down, she was way overreacting. "What I mean is, how do you know it's not worth it to us? And anyways I don't think everyone here has a goal of necessarily starting time again...I know it's not my goal." Terrance chuckled nervously, "sorry to be a buzzkill, but that's my goal, sorry Kaethe, I've lived 300 years I don't need to live another 300. Seriously though, I commited to this and I'm sticking with it, if I die, so be it, I'd probably enjoy it."

Seriously though, I commited to this and I'm sticking with it, if I die, so be it, I'd probably enjoy it." She turned to him, "Oh trust me I know. I know that there are planty of people here who do want to start time again, I'm not denying that. What i'm really trying to say is we all have very strong reasons for going to the forgotten keep and many of us are very commited to our reasons, whether they're to start time or not."

"yeyeyeyeye, anyways, its essentially, follow us, or get the hell out of the way. I'm going to that place, that's damn well for sure."
"Don't go to the Forgotten Keep," Enigma said, "Roger and I have been bringing groups of time heroes to the Keep for years...none have started time and none have come out alive." "It would be best for your safety that you went home," Roger continued. "This is the first time I recommend to someone, don't go to the Forgotten Keep...it's not worth it," Enigma said. ("Right. Nice knowing you.") Scott began to leave, but found himself stopped short. Someone had tied his leash to a chair leg. ("Cute. Now can we cut the crap and let me go? Seriously, I for one have no intent of marching to my death. Somebody untie this thing! Girl? Skull Guy? Hair-Trigger Kid? Old Man, I know you can understand me!")
And with the comings of last night dinner to an end. The group had a nice rest and the road was open the next morning. The group drove, following every instruction of Roger's and Enigma's. When they came to a door that had an odd creature carved into it's doors. The group looked at Roger and Enigma. "This is where we part from you," Enigma said, "We are not allowed in the Keep for we are the map and the key." Somehow no one seemed at all upset for the fact that Enigma and Roger wouldn't be coming. They opened the door with the turnwheel and went to go on their way. Roger climbed back into the car and layed the sleeping child on the passenger seat. He was about to go when Enigma grabbed his shirt. Here the group was. In some ancient ruin stuck with Enigma and Roger. It made things more interesting to say at the least. The Forgotten Keep Goals: -Discover the secret of the ruin -Survive -Realize the world had been played -Find a way out ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Roger held Enigma in his arms. Roger wasn't exactly happy about following the group. But Enigma insisted back there to go with the group. Roger wasn't the leatets bit happy about this. "We do not what lies in the Keep, we've never been in here before so don't ask for answers," Roger said.
"Well this is an interesting place," he turned his head about, "rock, rock, rock, ooh a... nope that's a rock." He scanned the area around, "so where do we begin to look then," "We do not what lies in the Keep, we've never been in here before so don't ask for answers," Roger said "Well this makes things easy," he turned about, "we have two options, stay together and search the area, or split up into groups and search the area. That is unless of course, someone comes up with a third option," he turned his head to Jules, "and get the hell out of here doesn't count."
we have two options, stay together and search the area, or split up into groups and search the area. That is unless of course, someone comes up with a third option "I have the third option. We split into groups and search the area but stay in constant contact the entire time. On the car trips I've been fixing up my chair and inventing these little guys," Aves said as he tapped a panel on the side of his chair and brought out two small machines that looked like the kind of chicks you find in you're Easter basket, except metal. "BIRDs: Biomechanical Intelligence and Reconnaissance Drones. Here, see for yourself" he said as he tossed one to Terrance, "Just tap the button on the back of its head. Records the images and sounds of everything around it, it can transmit both sounds and images to it's counterpart, and it's armed with a nine milimeter machine gun; just in case."

Terrance observed the device, he pressed a button and it chirped, he heard the sound of whiring devices. "Good work Aves, its like killing two birds with one stone," he chuckled at his little joke.
Kaethe glanced at there surroundings...it really wasn't impressive at all. She had expected soemthing slightly mroe grand, after all this place was practically mythology. "Good work Aves, its like killing two birds with one stone," he chuckled at his little joke. She turned to look at the little BIRD. "Wow, nice work" Still as she contemplated the task she thought about how pointless it was that she was here. She had no clue how this was going to help her find Jasper, she pushed the thought aside. "Ok so since no one appears opposed to the plan, how are we dividing up?"
Roger took out several straws. "With straw, anyone with a green ends goes with each other, anyone with a red end goes with each other, and non colored ends go with each other," Roger said.
"With straw, anyone with a green ends goes with each other, anyone with a red end goes with each other, and non colored ends go with each other," Roger said. "Ok" stepping forward, Kaethe plucked a straw from Roger's hand. It had a green bottom. "Guess I'm the first green"
"With straw, anyone with a green ends goes with each other, anyone with a red end goes with each other, and non colored ends go with each other," Roger said. "Oh, yes, that's a good idea," said Britney, drawing a straw. She came up with red, and smiled as she waited to see who would be her partner. Jules, arms crossed, sighed heavily. She'd go on her own if she could get away from them without a scene, but she doubted her sneaking away capabilities since she was near the center of the group. Roger held out the straws, and after Britney grabbed one (delightfully), she reluctantly drew a straw. Green. Matching it with Keathe's, she forced a grin as she stood next to her. "Well," said Jules, "at least I can ditch happy-go-lucky for a few minutes." Britney heard her cousin, and only smiled, shaking her head as a reply. She knew that Jules loved her, would do anything if for her if need be, would die for her. And she for Jules.
With straw, anyone with a green ends goes with each other, anyone with a red end goes with each other, and non colored ends go with each other "Okay then," Aves said as he pulled a straw. "Red, looks like I'm going with the little one. And--," Aves looked over to Scott the duck, "--I'll take the duck with me. Since I only made two BIRDs and we have three groups I'll outfit this guy with similar capabilities." With that Aves scooped up the duck and placed a badge like device onto his harness. With the press of a button the badge opened up and enveloped the harness. Then from the ducks newly mechanized harness a small wire shot out and attached to the back of the duck's head. The wire then proceeded to drill into the back of the duck's head (which no doubt hurt a ton) and created a mental up link to the ducks head in a similar fashion to a drive. "Okay then, everyone, let me introduce you to the first cybernetic duck."
"Oh, Mr. Aves, I guess we'll be together for this," she said politely. Then she watched in horror as Aves fixed a strange contraption on the duck. "Okay then, everyone, let me introduce you to the first cybernetic duck." Britney gasped. The duck's new contraption looked extremely painful. When she thought it was safe, she bent down and pet the duck lightly. "Are you okay, ducky?" she asked, truly concerned. She stuck out her lower lip in a cute pout. "I'll make you feel all better," she promised, kissing the duck lightly on the beak, for she feared that a hug might hurt the poor animal.
After a few people picked out straws and the slightly hilarious and horrifying scene with the duck, Terrance stepped forward and pulled out a non-colored straw. "Alright then, so who comes with me then?"
Rogue walked over to the straws and grabbed one. A non colored one. He stared at Terrance. He had to be with the arid desert bone man. Rogue gave him a short look because he couldn't comprehend the man. Or maybe the skeleton was a better word. "We're partners," Rogue said.
Ted drew a straw, and hid the end in his hand. He looked around at the groups. The old man, the strange duck, and one of the girls in red. The other two girls in green. The skeleton and the little thief in the third group. He took a moment to wonder how he'd even ended up in the keep. It gave him a headache. He glanced at the straw in his hand. Green. He changed the color to blue and donned a confused tone. "I guess I'm... blue? Does that mean I'm by myself or was it a fluke?"
"We're partners," Rogue said. "I guess we are." "I guess I'm... blue? Does that mean I'm by myself or was it a fluke?" "umm... fluke?"
Rogue stuck out his hand. He learned from his father to show partners respect with a handshake. ~~~~~~~~~~ Roger smiled and stared at Ted. He walked over to Ted and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I guess you'll be with us," Roger said doing an immediate color change of the last straws he held, "Enigma and I are blue too....all right everyone you have your groups...let's move out."
Rogue stuck out his hand in a handshake, Terrance returned the grip and shook. He let go and started to look around. "Alright, you've stolen something before, if you were a magical vortex that could stop time where would you be?"
"Well this makes things easy," he turned about, "we have two options, stay together and search the area, or split up into groups and search the area. That is unless of course, someone comes up with a third option," he turned his head to Jules, "and get the hell out of here doesn't count." ("And why the **** not? We've all seen the movies. At best, this place will be hazardously crumbling. At worst, it with be crawling with unspeakable evils vestige of a lost civilization! ("I mean, look at that thing carved on the door! Some sort of hideous...cat thing. And it's snarling at us! It's a warning! A warning we should heed; if not for your own sakes then at least for mine!") The humans continued talking amongst themselves. Aves, if he was paying attention at all, made no attempt to translate. He was too busy showing off some robot birds. ("Fine. You all waltz in and get your minds flayed by the voracious, ageless horrors that within these walls walk. We're leaving.") He turned to the girl...Britney was it? ("Alright, let's go.") She made no effort to leave. ("Come on, I know you see the dangers. You have to: you're holding the other end of my leash! If you don't we'll both die!") "Okay then," Aves said as he pulled a straw. "Red, looks like I'm going with the little one. And--," Aves looked over to Scott the duck, "--I'll take the duck with me." Scott tuned to Aves. ("**** you, Old Man!") he swore, ("We're not ****ing going in there, and you know it!") "Since I only made two BIRDs and we have three groups I'll outfit this guy with similar capabilities." ("Outfit with...oh **** no! Stay the **** away from me!) Scott tried hiding behind Britney, but Aves easily caught him anyway and placed a badge-like object on his harness. He tried pulling it off with his beak, but it was futile; the badge quickly unfolded, extending a series of arms which quickly assimilated the old leather harness. A wire then extended from the mechanized harness and adhered itself to the back of his skull. Scott quacked in pain as it bored into his head, loudly wishing various unpleasentries on Aves and his extended family. For a moment, there was a strange electrical sensation as the nanofiliments integrated with his gray matter, then the pain eased somewhat -- the sharp agony of the drill replaced with the dull agony of a headache. He could feel a thin trail of blood streaming down the back of his neck. And yet, there was a strange sensation of expanded awareness. He could detect the other BIRD devices somehow; and if he really concentrated could see what they saw, hear what they heard. It increased the strength of the migrane though. He beat his head on the ground in an effort to numb the pain. It just made it worse.
Everyone seemed to have paired off for the most part, so Jules turned to Kaethe. "Would you like to hold the walkie-talkie?" she said in mocked pleasantry. "I don't speak duck." She smirked as she thought of the duck acting as a radio device, and began walking away from the group. Where she was walking and what she was looking for, she didn't know. She barely cared. The duck beat its beak on the ground, and Britney looked even more horrified. "Oh, poor ducky," she said, picking it up, holding it out in front, and looking him straight in the eyes. There was so much there, not like any duck she'd ever seen before. The duck's eyes were glazed with tears, of pain maybe, and it looked so much like it was trying to communicate with her. Britney stared deep in its eyes for a moment longer before smiling the biggest smile yet. "You're the cutest duck I ever saw!!!" Jumping, giddy, she brought the duck in for a quick hug, then set it on the ground. "I think you need a name, ducky," Britney brought a finger to her chin, head tilted, and stared up into the air. "Hmm... How about... Julie?" Jules heard Britney, 'Julie' being the nickname from the younger cousin for the first half of her years. "You are not naming that stupid duck after me!" she yelled, annoyed.
"Would you like to hold the walkie-talkie?" she said in mocked pleasantry. "I don't speak duck." Kaethe glared at the girl's retreating back. Her generally sweet and quiet disposition kept her from saying something really nasty; but there was no doubt that Jules was really starting to get on her nerves. "You are not naming that stupid duck after me!" she yelled, annoyed. "Not to be rude but I'm not sure I would name something I thought as cute and cuddly after you...you don't quite have that effect." She couldn't help the comment from springing to her lips, the situation was too funny.
"Not to be rude but I'm not sure I would name something I thought as cute and cuddly after you...you don't quite have that effect." Jules stopped and turned to face the other woman. She uncrossed her arms and stared, her mouth slightly open at what Keathe had said. "Exactly," she replied. "See? You get it! Why doesn't she?" Then she yelled again, "Quit naming all your stupid animals after me! If you name that duck Julie, I'll cut off its head!" Britney smiled sheepishly at the duck. "Hmm... maybe not Julie."
