India has developed a time machine!

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Domoviye, Aug 23, 2007.

I just got this e-mail from a company in India, that I did not actually apply for. (I have no idea how my resume got sent to them)
Anyways it's not a very good job, low pay, few benefits, etc.
But what caught my eye were the hours.
They must have some advanced technology, to get that many hours into a day. I wonder what the side effects are?
In Harry Potter book 3, they risked going mad if they saw themselves going back in time. So I don't think I want to risk that.

    Cheers

I'd be tempted to accept just to see how they did it... Plus, those Indian time machines are kinda cool :p

I wonder they'd be willing to pay me more if I acted as their English spokesman?

    Maybe I should accept.

Would you want to spend 30-40 hours a day in that office with Linux and Vista though, Kit?

*shudders and bursts into tears at the mention of vista*

I actually quite like the linux OS i'm using, its better than vista!! lol. Testing on XP Pro today though - normalcy! lol

I didn't mean that i wanted to spend 30 - 40 hours in the office, just meant it might be nice to fit more hours in my day. I never seem to have enough time.

Just think, if you took the job you would live twice as long as other people.

Well, maybe they do what I do, and they only consider a day to be over if you actually sleep. So, if you work 30-40 hours without sleeping...that's one day.

Maybe the work site is off-world. One day on Pluto is a bit over 153 hours long.

    They are obviously outsourcing...

    That is a scary thought.

And Cogito, if they let me work on Pluto I'd demand a few more hours of training. Of course if they let me take pictures, I'd be willing to work for free.

    Raven, no idea.
