While I have never read this book, I thought people here might be interested in knowing there will be film adaptation of 'Where the Wild Things Are'. I am not sure how prevalent that information is, but it is new to me. The movie is directed by Spike Jonze, and comes to theatres later this year. I've been waiting for this ever since I read about it a few months back in Entertainment Weekly. I absolutely love the book and I'm glad they went the surreal route with the film instead of making it a kid's film.
That is cool. I'm not sure how you could turn such a simple picture book into a full-length film. Still. Cool.
I guess if Disney can do it with and amusement park ride.... I remember loving Where The Wild Things Are when I was little so I'll be looking forward to seeing what they've done with it.
