This question on names probably gets asked a lot, so I appologize if I'm beating a dead horse (I know, I know, cliches are evil). Anyway, can anyone think of good names for someone Iranian? I want something real, but something that isn't stereotypical. For future reference, is there a site that has names by nationality? Thanks.
Muhammad Ali. Just kidding... Here's one site that may prove useful: http://www.persia.org/Information/Iranian_names.html
*That's* funny. That was actually the name I was going to use...well, the first name, at least; I knew it was too predictable, though. Thanks.
I work with lots of Iranians - why not mix and match some of their names: kumar, santosh Mirbagheri, Mona SHAMS, SHAHRAM taheri, pegah Mir Mohammad Sadeghi, Nikoo Nassajian, Rouhollah Farahmand, Ehsan Mofid, Mohsen kazemi, taha PAKYAR, Afshin Rahmati, Reza sattari khavas, sourena Salehan, Mohammad asadiyan, mohammad esmaeily, hamed Pourang, Nima Talari, Abbas hendijanifard, fatemeh Janghorban, Bahram baardeh, mojgan
The only two I know are names of Iranian people I know. Anoushe for male. Nuzhat (pernounced news hut) for female.
I'm being completely serious here, name your guy Muhammad Ali the black prize fighter and have him box everyone he meets and you will have yourself a story which I shall read every word of.
I don't think that would work. That's the complete opposite of what I want my story to be about. Okay, Chickidy: after I right this story, I'll write a sequal just for you.
It's kind of sad. I understand Muhammad Ali converted to Islam and everything, but Cassius Clay is the coolest name ever and he had to go and change it.
