    Jazzabel, AWESOME.

"I don't know much about quantum physics, BUT-"

Everything I look at splits into multiple worlds. I control my reality by forcing the multiverse to collapse. In my third reality, I'm actually a quantum physicist!

According to the constitutional authority of the Supreme Court, the tomato is a vegetable.

Only in relation to trade tariffs, but even the Supreme Court said the scientific and botanical classification of a tomato is a fruit. ;)

Yes, and lawmakers once made a law declaring pi to be exactly 3.

Government cannot even run itself effectively. Why would anyone consider government as a source of scientific information?

But what is a tomato inside a black hole? Ketchup?

I nominate this thread for the 'farthest possible derailment' award.

We started with a four-dimensional black hole, and wound up at the scientific classification of a tomato.

Perhaps it was a must-needed lightening agent for a contentious discussion. ;)

That is berry informative, thank you.

Did you know the apple is a member of the Rose family?

@JJ_Maxx , @Lewdog: true, and bannana's, watermelons, and avocados actually somehow qualify as berries too. I'm not kidding I spent a good hour reading up on it a while ago :p

I thought this would be a great addition to this thread. Here is a video about Area 51 and a lot of the things we were talking about. The video even says that they talked to an alien that crashed. The alien said it was from the Zeta Reticuli star system. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeta_reticuli This star system is only 39 light years away from us.

Oh yeah! I've seen this before!

These are things that interest me. There are plenty of conferences on and even political "officials" who've come out about us actually having contact with extraterrestrials... yet we are a vain enough species to believe that we are the only sentient beings in the universe. And those who believe there may be more, think that none have had the capability or interest to come to earth yet... Truth is, as a race, we don't know a lot about the universe, but some people on this planet do know more than they let on.
