Honestly, I am hoping EFMingo is doing okay. He at least usually pops in when we have a long conversation. But life can be busy. What we can do is write off the 'donated days' this Sunday and it will be your turn and you get 7 full days. Resetting the timer so to speak. This Sunday, I will pass the turn to you. I think what you did was very kind, but also since we have not heard from @EFMingo yet, new plans need to be made.
Wait, so, I'm a little bit confused by something. SoulFire's post was made in Friday the 14th. Add 7 to that and you get 21. But here it was said that he has until the 18th (the day the post was made). Am I misunderstanding something or does EFMingo actually have until the 21st to post?
I think the moral of this story is: I'm bad at maths. Especially with times and dates. I even have to use an online calculator to determine how many hours to put on my punchcard at work. LOL. So, let us assume you're right. Then what in the WORLD have I been doing??
I'm also bad with numbers. I once missed a 220+ euro flight because of it, haha. So long as EFMingo gets the originally intended time, it's fine. It might be that he didn't login because he's been silently preparing his post the entire time.
I am so sorry you missed that +220 Euro flight. I can't imagine what that was like. But I agree with you. I just feel bad for having this whole discussion now, because it's moot and I am worried I tagged him too much. But I am looking forward to what he's gonna write. All his posts are a fun read!
ANNOUNCEMENT I will be away from today to Tuesday! If it is MY turn during this time frame, please skip me. Thank you! Also, be kind to one another while I am gone. Thanks!
It's Sunday and EFMingo hasn't logged in at all. His turn technically ended on the 22nd. Gravy is gone until Wednessday so I guess we can decide amongst ourselves. I see two possibilities: Either we wait further (since we were originally happy with this) or we can skip his turn. What does everyone think?
Hello, I'm back! All is completed and I am excited. Because this was a video editing job and it's something I want to do professionally. Anyway, since @EFMingo has NOT been logged on since Feb. 15th, I am going to skip his turn. I am sure what he wrote is amazing, but I feel it's time to skip ahead. @ps102, it is now officially your turn.
ANNOUNCEMENT Since we all had a discussion about the post lengths in this roleplay, the rules (and the rules of this forum) are hereby changed so each post must be a minimum of 300 words to a strict maximum of 1,500 words. The GM/me, will check each post in a word processor (not online word counter/AI reader) to insure each post meets the requirements above. Also, if the post is OVER, but concludes a sentence, it will not be edited. But the GM can politely ask the player to edit down or up posts that do not meet the word min/max.
I'm almost done with my post. Is it okay if I send it to @Louanne Learning in a PM? I want her to check if I've written one of her characters well enough. I think that's a lot more efficient than editing later if I didn't quite hit the mark.
Yes, that's fine. I appreciate you asking. The Transparency rule is so people aren't brewing plots and twists away from others to shock or confuse them. I think sending a draft for characterization is all right.
@ps102 - I look forward to reading it! I've got company coming in about half an hour, but if I don't get it read by then, I will definitely read it later tonight.
How would people feel if I collated the story into one google doc so we can have a "Read the story so far" link on the first post? So people interested in joining don't have to go through the hassle of reading it on the forum?
Is reading on the forum a hassle? I find it quite okay. But I do keep a local copy of the story just in case. I'm personally fine either way.
That could work. We could also make a Blog on here for that. I personally like that idea, then it stays on the site. I DO have a personal scriviner doc for word count/reference, though. Also, couldn't people just read the actual roleplay? It's honestly not that long at the moment. What are your guys' thoughts?
Okay, post made. I think I need to discuss it a little bit. There is quite a lot happening. I made more progression on the overarching plot by somewhat revealing the queen's objective. I've been thinking a lot about what she wants and I think I have it figured out. It's pretty big, but no spoilers! Second, my post doesn't imply that Dusca knows Gamma. She just wanted to create a big distraction. A distraction that would, I realized after, result in Barnabas and Hemios to go upstairs and find Olive. It'd be pretty hard to to justify her actions. I solved that "problem" by giving it to Gamma. She attributed the water to herself to save Olive and possibly Dusca from the inevitable interrogation. Lastly, just a clarification: Gamma didn't chase them because there was no need. She just wanted to drive them away. It's not the way the crew wanted things to work out, but it's how it ended up working out. It certainly will buy them time. Olive made a bit of a mess but it's not damage, just flooding! At this rate though, Olive ruining the tavern will become a running gag, lol. Anyway. Your turn, @Louanne Learning !
I'm okay with a Google doc of the story, but I also think that reading it simply from the forum is fine. Then again, I don't actually know because I've significantly modified the way it looks for me. I've never used the stock WF look. I had a night-eye extension from the start but then that broke down so I made my own modifications that make the forum look wonderful to me... personally. Hence why I ask if the stock look is somehow uncomfortable. I do remember that text is very small by default.
This is a great post! Thank you! I am so excited to see what happens. Also, the ice would have floated in the water. Nice touch! Also: Spoiler: Spoiler Joke Ahead! MY TAVERN!!
